Backyard Artists is a non-profit 501(c)(3) founded by Ryan Marsh in 2022.

BYA has worked with 210 emerging artists of different mediums, primarily in Boise, Idaho.

BYA has hosted 19 events in the Treasure Valley, including readings, galleries, trash pick-ups, open mics, workshops and one-of-a-kind creative community events including Speed Friending and Art by the River.

BYA has showcased artists’ work in collaboration with Surel’s Place and worked with JUMP onMarch 9th, 2024 in an installation of the Pioneer Room part of Illumibrate.

BYA has granted $9,157 over the last year to 31 different artists.
